AYSO Futsal

AYSO is partnering with 808 Futsal (1010 Munu Street, Kapolei, HI 96707) to bring this exciting type of soccer to AYSO players! We are running an introduction to futsal program for 5 weeks running on Saturdays November 19th through December 17th. These 1 1⁄2 hours sessions will be run jamboree style with players randomly placed on teams that will play a series of 8 minute mini games.

Futsal is played 5v5 which includes a keeper with free substitutions. For a full set of rules go here.

Players register individually at the Leeward Region website ayso269.org and select the Futsal Jamboree 2022 season. Be sure to use the login that you used to register for the fall season in your home region. The cost for current AYSO players is $65. The sessions will be coed and include 8U, 10U, 12U 14U and 16/18/19U age divisions. Sessions will be held at 808 Futsal’s indoor air conditioned facility in Kapolei. Tentative session times each week are:

8U 2:00 - 3:30 PM
10U 4:00 - 5:30 PM
12U 10:00 - 11:30 AM
14U 12:00 - 1:30 PM
16/19U 6:00 - 7:30 PM

Players can wear any color shirt and shorts as scrimmage vests will be used to identify teams. Futsal balls will be provided at the site. Players will need shin guards and shoes with flat soles (no turf shoes or cleats allowed). Specific futsal shoes are available at the 808 Futsal Pro shop, but are not required.

The intent of this program is to provide an introduction to futsal in a fun player centric environment. While we will need volunteers each week to help keep time and manage the game (Help with substitutions and keep a general eye on games) there will not be any coaches or referees needed. The staff at 808 Futsal will explain the time keeper roles and game manager roles.

Following the Jamboree introduction sessions, we will hold an 8 week AYSO Futsal League season from Jan. 7 to Feb. 25th for 14U and up and March 25 to May 20th for 8U, 10U and 12U. These leagues will be team based by age group and gender with roster limits of 10 per team and a minimum of 5. Teams will be registered through their home region the same as you do for tournaments and use their AYSO uniforms.This will be an open league with club teams also eligible to play. We plan to have developmental and competitive divisions to choose from . Coaches will need to be certified for their age group but no referees from teams are needed as referees will be provided as part of the fees.8U and 10U (1⁄2 court, 1 referee) fees are $460 per team and 12U, 14U, 16/19U (full court, 2 referees) fees are $600 per team. Per player fees will depend on the number of players on your roster.
